At Natumoi, we have made a conscious choice to celebrate the best of Kenya. Both of us are entrepreneurs who have built businesses in this country, and we believe deeply in supporting local makers, farmers and brands. Every product in the house, from the drinks to the textiles to the soaps, comes from people we admire.
Why We Support LocalWe could import everything. But we choose not to. Supporting Kenyan businesses strengthens local communities, reduces transport impact and celebrates the extraordinary creativity that exists here. Luxury should feel connected to place. At Natumoi, it does.
Founded by Natumoi’s owner Alexandra Chappatte, African Originals creates drinks using Kenyan fruit, botanicals and ingredients. The bar features Mara Gin, distilled with botanicals foraged by Maasai women from the Enonkishu Conservancy. Each bottle is finished with a hand-beaded cap made by the local Women in the Wild artisans.
Women in the WildThe beautiful beadwork throughout Natumoi is created by local Maasai women. These pieces are not simply decorative — they represent craftsmanship, culture and income for families within the conservancy.
