Living with the Land

Thoughtfully arranged interiors and open living spaces create a home where families can relax, explore, and share moments together.

The Space | The Location

Where the Mara
Meets the Sky

Living with the wild. Natumoi sits directly beside the Mara River inside the Enonkishu Conservancy, one of the most beautiful and wildlife rich landscapes in the Mara ecosystem. Wildlife moves freely through the conservancy and often right past the house.

Hippos graze nearby at night. Zebra and warthogs wander across the lawn in the morning. Vervet monkeys provide an early wake up call most days. The house was designed to embrace that connection rather than separate from it. Large open spaces, terraces and decks allow the landscape to feel close at all times. From the river deck you can sit with a book overlooking the Mara River while the upstairs terrace looks out toward Kilileoni, the highest hill in the Mara.

Nature at Every Turn

Explore the ever-changing Mara River and surrounding savannah. Each view captures either a moment of tranquillity or the thrill of wildlife nearby.

The Space | Dining and Social Spaces

Gather, Share
and Celebrate

The kitchen, dining room, and bar have been designed for both intimate meals and shared gatherings. The bar is one of the heartbeats of Natumoi. Evenings often begin here while the sun drops behind the acacia trees and the team prepares cocktails or mocktails.

The drinks celebrate Kenyan creativity and local ingredients. The menu centres around Mara Gin distilled with botanicals foraged locally in Enonkishu. The house favourite is the Mara Martini. Natumoi’s answer to a Bloody Mary in the bush. Bright, citrus led and made with orange marmalade, lemon and triple sec. Guests also love the homemade shrubs including pineapple mint and strawberry basil creations.

It is a place for conversation, storytelling and the kind of evenings that stretch long into the night.

Spaces for Togetherness

Open living and social areas are designed to foster conversation, laughter, and quiet moments alike. Each space provides the freedom to gather or retreat, adapting to your family’s rhythm.

The Space | Private Gym

Wellbeing, Framed
by Nature

The fully equipped gym offers a space for movement, wellbeing and mindfulness. Floor-to-ceiling windows draw in natural light and connect guests to the surrounding conservancy, creating a sense of openness while exercising.

Calm and private, the gym becomes a sanctuary for both body and mind, complementing the experiences nearby and leaving guests feeling invigorated for each day of discovery in the Mara.

The outdoor yoga deck is one of the calmest spaces at Natumoi. It catches the first light of morning and looks out towards the river landscape beyond. While the river itself is not visible, the sense of the wild is ever-present. Birds calling, wind moving through the grass, and wildlife passing quietly through the conservancy.

Guests often practise yoga or gentle stretching here at sunrise before heading out for the day.

Wellness in Context

Large windows and natural light make exercise immersive. The gym allows guests to reconnect with themselves and the environment before stepping into the day’s adventures.
